【About Ed Roth】
Ed Roth was a leading figure in American lowbrow art and enjoyed worldwide popularity among young people. He is also known as the creator of the rat character Rat Fink, familiar to American car fans. After retiring from the military in the 1950s and working several jobs, he started building custom cars in his home garage. A distinctive feature of his work was the use of fiberglass, which was easy to shape freely in order to realize his original designs. Ed Roth, who attracted attention for his custom car production, became widely known for his character Rat Fink, a comical design of a rat. In the 1960s, goods featuring Rat Fink became extremely popular among young people throughout the United States. Furthermore, Rat Fink's popularity spread to plastic model kits.
