The Showboat is a drag racing machine created in 1961 by Tommy Ivo, a popular American drag racer. It is said to be a masterpiece among the machines created by Ivo, who is known as a famous actor and a legend of drag racing. The Showboat was a drag racer equipped with four engines mounted on the frame and driving all four wheels. The engines were Buick V8s with a total displacement of 1856 cubic inches and boasted a power of over 2000 horsepower. Power extracted from the two engines arranged in a longitudinal configuration on the left side of the frame drove the front wheels, and the two engines arranged in a longitudinal configuration on the right side drove the rear wheels, resulting in four-wheel drive. The overwhelming performance, including the exhaust sound emitted by the four engines, made it popular.
