■Product Description
●1/48 scale kit modeling the A-7D operated by the United States Air Force
About the actual aircraft
The LTV A-7D Corsair II was developed and operated as a tactical close air support aircraft based on the A-7 Corsair II, a carrier-based attack aircraft of the United States Navy. It was equipped with an Allison TF41-A1 turbofan engine. The avionics included an AN/APN-185 navigation radar and an AN/APG-126 terrain-following radar, and it was equipped with an M61A1 cannon. It made its first flight in April 1968. A total of 459 aircraft were manufactured, many of which were deployed to the Air National Guard (ANG) units. In 1972, it participated in combat during the Vietnam War and demonstrated its capabilities as a ground attack aircraft.
About the Model
This is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the A-7D Corsair II, which was deployed and operated by the US Air Force from the 1960s to the 1990s. The scale is 1/48. The finished model will be approximately 300mm in length and will realistically reproduce its shape. This kit is a re-release by Atlantis Models of the kit originally released by Aurora in 1969. Panel lines and other details are also expressed, giving it a great atmosphere. A wide variety of bomb loadouts for underwings are also included. You can enjoy the finish that is unique to a ground attack aircraft. The cockpit and passenger compartments are also reproduced with mechanical detail. This is a kit that you won't want to miss, as it has the charm of a vintage kit.
