About the actual aircraft
The F-15 Eagle is a US Air Force fighter jet that is still known today as the world's most powerful air superiority fighter. It made its first flight in 1972, and deployment began in 1976, and it is still known worldwide as an active fighter jet. Among them, the F-15C has the largest production number. The airframe is equipped with clipped delta wings and two vertical stabilizers, and is powered by two Pratt & Whitney F100 turbofan engines. It exhibits high speed and acceleration exceeding Mach 2, as well as high turning ability. It is also equipped with an electronic warfare system and can carry various missiles, including the AIM-120 air-to-air missile. Even as next-generation fighter jets with high stealth capabilities are being developed and deployed, it boasts high capabilities as a high-speed, highly maneuverable air superiority fighter.
About the Model
This is a 1/48 scale plastic model kit of the US Air Force's F-15C Eagle. The finished model will be 403mm long. This kit combines Italeri's signature realistic reproduction with ease of assembly. The aircraft's shape is accurately modeled along with each panel line. The radome on the nose is a separate part and can be assembled in either the open or closed position. When assembled in the open position, the radar installed inside is also modeled, resulting in a mechanical finish. The cockpit features detailed reproduction of the seat, as well as the reproduction of small parts such as the instrument panel and control stick, enhancing its realism. The landing gear and the inside of the landing gear bays are also delicately modeled. In addition, the air brakes at the rear of the cockpit can be assembled in either the open or closed position.
