The Eurocopter Tiger was an attack helicopter developed jointly by West Germany and France. The prototype aircraft first flew in April 1991 and entered service in 2003 in France and Germany respectively. It had a composite structure with a heavy use of carbon fiber and cables, a narrow hull and a tandem-type cockpit. The engine was equipped with two turbocharged MTR390s. The high-performance control system, including the mast, was equipped with Avionics. In France, it was used as a tank-to-tank operation, while in Germany, it was used as a combat, reconnaissance and patrol aircraft.
