This is a 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit of the F-15E Strike Eagle, a fighter-bomber variant of the F-15 operated by the United States Air Force.
About the actual aircraft
The F-15E Strike Eagle is a fighter-bomber variant of the F-15 Eagle, known as the most powerful air superiority fighter in history. Although based on the F-15, approximately 60% of the airframe structure has been redesigned, resulting in a design that can be considered a completely different aircraft. Its maximum armament load is 11 tons, more than that of the B-29 bomber in World War II. In addition, conformal tanks are standard equipment on the sides of the aircraft, extending its combat radius by approximately double. Deployment to the United States Air Force began in 1988. It participated in the 1991 Gulf War, the Kosovo War, the invasion of Afghanistan, and the Iraq War, playing a leading role in ground attack operations. It is used by the US military as well as Israel, South Korea, and other countries.
