About the actual car
From the 1970s to the 1980s, Lancia of Italy dominated the World Rally Championship, solidifying its reputation in the rally field with numerous masterpiece cars and victories. Among them, the Lancia Fulvia laid the foundation. The rally version based on the Fulvia Coupe, which was unveiled at the 1965 Geneva Motor Show, debuted at the 1965 Tour de Corse. In 1969, the more powerful 1.6HF Fanarone appeared. The rally version based on this vehicle was driven by Sandro Munari to a magnificent first victory at the 1972 Rally Monte Carlo. From there, Lancia's glorious history in rallying began.
