This is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the F-35C, the carrier-based version of the F-35 Lightning II, the state-of-the-art jet fighter jet developed by the United States and deployed in countries around the world, in 1/72 scale.
About the actual aircraft
The F-35 Lightning II is a new fifth-generation stealth fighter jet born from the United States' JSF Joint Strike Fighter program. It employs cutting-edge high-tech systems and materials and has high stealth capabilities. A distinctive feature of the F-35 is that it comes in three types to suit different purposes: the F-35A with conventional takeoff and landing, the F-35B with short takeoff and vertical landing, and the F-35C for aircraft carrier deployment. Among these, the F-35C was developed as a carrier-based aircraft and is the first stealth aircraft to be deployed in the history of the U.S. Navy. It is equipped with one Pratt & Whitney F-135-PW-100 turbofan engine. A design feature is that it has the largest wing area of any aircraft in the F-35 series. It made its maiden flight in 2010 and entered service with the U.S. Navy in 2019. It is now playing an active role as the new mainstay of the U.S. Navy.

This model is a completely new mold from Italeri. The wingtips can be assembled in either the folded or extended position, just like the real aircraft. The arresting hook mounted on the underside of the fuselage is also reproduced, and the style unique to carrier-based aircraft is not to be missed.
Furthermore, details such as the cockpit interior and landing gear bay interior are delicately modeled, enhancing the sense of realism in the finished product. In addition, the armament mounted under the wings and fuselage is also reproduced. Markings for US Navy aircraft are included. This is a kit that airplane fans should not miss.
●It is also possible to reproduce the beast mode with an impressive finish.
●A masking sheet is included for easy painting.
A masking sheet is included to reproduce the gray painted areas on the fuselage and wingtips, making painting easier.
