●Recreating Captain Kirk wearing an EV suit (spacesuit)
EXO-6, an emerging American manufacturer, has attracted the attention of fans by recreating Star Trek characters in a large 1/6 scale. They have been steadily releasing a lineup of popular characters that are realistically reproduced, and this time they have modeled Captain Kirk, who appeared in episode 9 of the third season of "Star Trek: The Original Series," "The Tholian Web."
The USS Enterprise, led by Captain Kirk, was searching for the USS Defiant, which had gone missing, when they discovered that the Defiant was already disappearing into another dimension. The Enterprise crew was transported to investigate the ship, but they discovered that all of the Defiant's crew had already perished. The Defiant's very existence had become unstable, and while they were hastily transported to the Enterprise, Captain Kirk was left behind. Then a Thorian spaceship appeared, and the Enterprise was about to be caught in the Thorian's energy field net, but they managed to escape.
This model is based on the appearance of Captain Kirk wearing his EV suit (spacesuit) when he boarded the Defiant with the crew in that episode. This EV suit (spacesuit) was designed by costume designer William Ware Thies and made with the cooperation of Mike Minor. Given the limited production budget at the time, this EV suit (spacesuit) appeared in this episode as one of the few costumes other than the uniform, and it has been reproduced. The texture of the original silver glitter fabric is realistically reproduced, and the helmet is removable. Life support hoses are also attached to the torso. Of course, the facial expression of Captain Kirk, played by William Shatner, is also realistically reproduced.
As it is an action figure, the joints of the hands and feet are movable, allowing for free posing. In addition, multiple hand parts and accessory parts are provided, so you can enjoy various situations.
