The Nine-Tailed Fox is a fox (spirit beast, yokai) with nine tails. In Japan, it is often spoken of as an evil being, but in China, it is more often spoken of as a divine beast sent from heaven, representing "an era of peace," "an era of a wise ruler," and "a symbol of kingship." In contrast, Dakki is a beautiful woman who is said to have been a contributing factor to the downfall of the ancient Yin dynasty in China. Dakki is said to be the Nine-Tailed Fox transformed into a beautiful woman, and here she is portrayed as an evil being that deceives the world. Kit's character was designed to reflect her abilities as a divine beast, her power to manipulate even the emperors of the Yin dynasty, and her striking beauty.
