Dencom Models is re-releasing kits from the Monster Scenes series, a line of monsters and creatures that was popular in the 1970s and produced by Aurora, a company with many fans, especially among American modelers. This kit models the Devil's Pendulum, also known as The Pentium, a terrifying torture device.

While a pendulum simply means a swinging motion, this device has a sharp blade attached to its end and slowly descends towards a person fixed to a platform, creating a terrifying spectacle. It's a torture device that also appears in American horror films based on Edgar Allan Poe's short story.

The kit models The Pentium in 1/13 scale. The frame on which the pendulum is set and the base on which the person is fixed are reproduced in detail. The finished model is 285mm tall and 114mm wide. It consists of 25 parts and is assembled using a snap-fit method without glue. Even after completion, the blade-shaped pendulum can swing from side to side. The pulley system is also movable. The kit also includes comic-style assembly instructions, which is a nice touch.
