■Product Description
The Reimei-class is the largest patrol vessel of the Japan Coast Guard, having entered service as an evolved version of the previous Akitsushima-class, equipped with one helicopter. Built as part of efforts to strengthen territorial waters security, this class is capable of long-term operations in vast ocean areas. The fourth vessel, PLH-31 Shikishima (2nd generation), entered service in March 2025. This is because the first Shikishima (PLH-31) was retired in April 2024, and the name and number were inherited.
