■Product Description
A versatile vehicle for command vehicles, personnel transport, and troop operations is now available in 1/72 scale!
Made with completely new molds, this product is designed to reproduce the various forms of the real thing!
The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force had been using the Type 73 light truck, based on the Mitsubishi Jeep, for purposes such as personnel transport, but due to exhaust gas regulations and other circumstances, it was decided to replace it with a vehicle based on the Mitsubishi Pajero, and this vehicle was adopted and procured from 1996.
The body, which is 4.1 meters long and can accommodate 6 people, has 3 doors and is equipped with a removable canvas cover.
Initially it was called the Type 73 light truck (new), but it is now called the 1/2 ton truck.
It has many nicknames such as Type 73, Little Truck, and Pajero, which shows that it is a versatile vehicle.
The early V16 model had a single independent fog light, while the later model had two fog lights embedded in the bumper. The V17 model eliminated the intake on the hood, and while these minor changes were made, along with various derivative vehicles, it has become the main support vehicle for each unit.
This series is easy to build in 1/72 scale and is perfect for collecting.
Despite its mini scale, it reproduces realistic details with shape design and precise surface expression that are no less impressive than 1/35 scale.
Following the previous 87 Type Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft Gun, it is packed with high-quality panel lines and anti-slip details.
The included decals are based on actual deployed vehicles and are based on thorough research into the unit to which they belong and the vehicle number.

●The product is based on the V16 type, specifically the early model (single independent fog light) and the later model (two recessed lights) with a bonnet air intake.
A total of 3 vehicles can be assembled: one early model and two later models.
●Features that allow you to select and reproduce a variety of form changes that are just as realistic as the actual vehicle.
The side windows and canvas top can be selected to be equipped or detached.
The windshield can be selected between upright (normal state) and folded down (air transport/field use).
The second row seats can be reproduced in three forms: seated, folded, and stored.
The third row seats can be reproduced in two forms: seated and stored.
Three types of radio antenna masts are included, including a wide-area multi-purpose radio and a field radio, and can be mounted in three locations.
The radios include a set of a wide-area multi-purpose radio and a portable terminal, and a field radio, and are designed to be installed in the second and third rows.
The antenna mounting base is a separate part and can be left off.
The headlights and taillights are made of clear parts for added realism.
The canvas top is made of clear parts, allowing for the reproduction of the transparency of the windows.

Clear parts are provided for the headlight mesh, and the mesh included in the decals can be applied to represent it without using metal parts.
The tires reproduce the treads deformed by the vehicle's own weight.

●Molded colors that make assembly easy.
Main parts such as the vehicle body are light gray, which is easy to see during gluing and processing and takes into consideration the effect on OD color painting.
Windows, canvas top, and lights are clear.

Includes basic marks such as the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force emblem (cherry blossom emblem) and jerrycan markings.
Vehicle numbers and unit markings are pre-assembled for easy application, and individual letters are also included so that any combination of markings can be made.
The pre-assembled numbers are researched and are based on those that exist (or existed) in the units to which they belong.
Includes markings for various units such as the Airborne Brigade, Special Training, 1st Ground-to-Ship, and 1st Combat. The individual lettering includes a variety of types such as Infantry, Artillery, Anti-Aircraft Artillery, Armored Corps, Division Headquarters Attached, Watercraft Brigade, Special Defense, and Rear.
Includes headlight protection mesh and a design that reproduces the model without using metal parts by combining it with clear parts.

Following the 87AW, 99HSP, and LAV in this series, it includes useful modeling information about the real thing.
