■Product Description
The Zero fighter was a fighter aircraft that fought alongside the rise and fall of the Japanese Navy for five years, from the summer of 1940 until the end of the war.
Its air combat performance was outstanding, and its other performance aspects even surpassed those of land-based fighters of the time.
The Type 11 was used as a land-based fighter, so it was not equipped with a landing hook or a Kursi heading finder.
The Type 21 was designed as a carrier-based fighter, so it was equipped with features that were omitted in the Type 11, and the wingtips were designed to fold upwards by 500 mm on each side.
The Type 32 was an improved version aimed at improving high-altitude performance and lateral maneuverability.
The engine was changed to the Sakae 21, and the folding part of the main wingtip was removed, giving the wingtips a square shape and a different appearance. The Type 22 was designed to compensate for the significantly reduced range of the Type 32 by increasing the wingspan to 12 meters and adding 45-liter fuel tanks inside the outer wings on both sides.
