The first-generation Majesta, S14#, was introduced in October 1991, simultaneously with the full model change of the 9th generation Crown. As a luxury car that filled the gap between the Royal series and the Celsior, it boasted the most luxurious equipment possible, including a newly developed monocoque chassis, a dedicated body, a 4000cc V8 engine, a front head-up display, and an electro-multivision system.
