The AA-type City Turbo II was introduced in November 1983, replacing the previous City Turbo. Compared to the Turbo, the maximum output evolved to 110 PS/5,500 rpm with the addition of an intercooler, etc. Furthermore, it was equipped with a "Scramble Boost" function that increases the boost pressure by 10% of the normal amount for 10 seconds when the throttle is fully opened when the engine speed is below 4,000 rpm. In terms of exterior, it was equipped with new front and rear blister fenders and a dedicated bumper, making it synonymous with a radical and fun hot hatch.
