The "209 series commuter train," which is still active in the Boso and Chiba areas, has been made into a plastic kit in PLUM's new and innovative kit series, "Plakit-Extra."
"Plakit-Extra" is a series that maintains the impressive size and quality of 1/80 scale while being more user-friendly with its "simplified painting, omitted assembly, and easy motor installation" concept.
The "line color," one of the characteristics of stainless steel vehicles, is reproduced using separate parts for the colored sections, resulting in a finish close to the image without painting.
In addition, the sashes, which have been modified to open and close, are reproduced with two-color molded parts.
The distinctive black face around the front can be enjoyed with complex color separation by combining multiple parts without painting.
The Boso-colored skirt reproduces the reinforced version.
The bogies feature wavy wheels that look great when displayed, and it is also possible to run it as a 16 gauge (HO gauge) model using Tenshodo running parts.
Decals with destination signs and line colors are also included! This production run also comes with seat parts (new long seat interior set) as a bonus.
The (Boso color) lead car set includes Kuha 209 and Kuha 208 with yellow and blue stripes. Enjoy combining it with the separately sold intermediate car set.
*This kit cannot run on its own. For operation, we recommend Tenshodo No.05007 Coreless Power Truck 26P (φ10.5 plate wheels) and Tenshodo No.69016 T-Evolution running parts kit in addition to this product. For couplers, please use your preferred commercially available couplers.
