We are pleased to announce the 1/144 A300B4-605R, a completely new mold from X-Scale Models, a passenger aircraft kit manufacturer from Ukraine. The -600 series, an improvement over the previous -100/-200/-320 series, was the last production model of the A300, with a fuselage extended by approximately 47 cm, redesigned wings and landing flaps, and equipped with a glass cockpit. This injection plastic kit reproduces the -605 model equipped with CF-6 engines. The kit includes painting mask stickers and one type of decal. When completed, the aircraft will be approximately 376 mm in length and 311 mm in wingspan. This is a kit that will attract the attention of passenger aircraft fans.
The A300 is a twin-engine jet passenger aircraft developed and manufactured by Airbus Industries (later Airbus). As the world's first twin-engine wide-body passenger aircraft, this aircraft was the catalyst for the establishment of Airbus. The A3 in the aircraft's name comes from Airbus's "A" and the initial concept of 300 seats. The A300, which made its maiden flight in 1972, is equipped with one turbofan engine under each wing in a low-wing configuration, a low-wing tail, and a nose wheel landing gear. Initially developed as a short-haul aircraft for use within Europe, the A300 later saw the development of derivative models with enhanced takeoff and landing capabilities and range, allowing it to operate on medium-haul routes, including some sea routes. In addition to passenger versions, convertible passenger and cargo versions were also developed. Cargo versions are built from scratch, and passenger versions are also converted from passenger versions. As of 2024, with the exception of some Middle Eastern airlines, cargo versions are mainly operated as cargo aircraft.
