■Product Description
This is a 1/43 scale handmade model car of the Lamborghini Murciélago 2001 produced by EIDOLON.
This model faithfully reproduces the Lamborghini Murciélago 2001, the fourth generation V12 mid-engine supercar following the Miura, Countach, and Diablo, and inheriting the traditional Lamborghini design philosophy.
[Vehicle Description]
The lineage of Lamborghini supercars with mid-engine V12 engines began with the Miura in 1966. The Murciélago, which appeared in 2001, is the fourth generation following the Miura, Countach, and Diablo.
Although the Murciélago was developed by Lamborghini, which is now under the Audi umbrella, the Audi influence is subtle, as it uses refined versions of the traditional tubular space frame chassis and powertrain inherited from the Countach era. Given that the fifth-generation Aventador underwent a major overhaul, it could be said that the Murciélago is, in a sense, the last classic Lamborghini.
The Murciélago attracted attention for its increased power compared to the Diablo, thanks to an increased engine displacement (6.0 to 6.2 liters), and for the fact that all models were made 4WD. Initially, the transmission was only available as a 6-speed manual, but in 2004, a single-clutch semi-automatic, the "e-gear," was added.
Until production ended in 2010, various variations were produced, including an open-top Roadster, an anniversary edition commemorating Lamborghini's 40th anniversary, a more powerful LP640, and a lighter LP670-4 Superveloce.
【Model Description】
We have already modeled several Murciélago models, including the LP670-4 Superveloce, but this time, as a first attempt, we have chosen the early model as our motif.
The prototype is based on the actual car modeling data of the Reventón, which shares much of the monocoque and interior with the Murciélago, and is designed by combining it with 3D scan data taken from an actual Murciélago. Regarding the shape, in order to objectively scale down the impression of the actual car as much as possible, we have not made any intentional deformations such as widening the body or lowering the roof.
The appeal of the early model Murciélago is its simple design without aero parts or wings, so the strength of the press lines and the tension of the body surface have been optimized to give a more realistic feel when scaled down to 1/43.
The wheels with deep rims, which are a characteristic of the early model, have been replaced from brass machined prototypes to white metal cast parts in pursuit of realism.
The interior is also based on the actual car's design data, faithfully tracing the design and size of the real vehicle. The high-quality interior materials have their texture controlled by painting.
The lighting system has been designed with a focus on the parts configuration of reflectors and lenses, so you can see that it looks just like the real car.
Starting with the initial model, we plan to develop a collection that comprehensively captures the charm of the Murciélago, which has been undergoing a resurgence in popularity as a neo-classic Lamborghini in recent years, including the 40th Anniversary and Roadster. First, get your hands on this initial model, the origin of the collection, and enjoy it.
