This is a 1/43 scale handmade model car of the "Nissan Fairlady Z NISMO 2027" produced by "EIDOLON".
The "Nissan Fairlady Z NISMO" is a high-performance version of the Fairlady Z that was announced in 2023. This model faithfully replicates the 2027 model, which is a minor change version of the Fairlady Z.
【Vehicle Explanation】
In September 2020, the "Fairlady Z Prototype," a major minor change version of the 6th generation Fairlady Z, was announced, and sales in Japan as the "Fairlady Z" began in 2022.
Although the Fairlady Z (RZ34) is counted as a major minor change, about 80% of the body has been renewed from the old Z34 (6th generation), and nowadays it is common to count the RZ34 as the 7th generation. The exterior design has been changed to a retro-modern style incorporating elements from the first-generation S30 and the fourth generation (Z32), and the engine, the heart of the car, has been downsized from the conventional naturally aspirated 3.7-liter V6 to a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter.
The NISMO model was added to the Fairlady Z lineup from the 2024 model year.
The familiar style of the car, with its specially designed front bumper and red stripe under aero, is eye-catching, but what's noteworthy is what's inside. The engine is a tuned engine that has achieved a 15 horsepower and 4.6 kg-m torque increase compared to the standard model, and the chassis has also been strengthened. In the 2027 minor change, a long-awaited 6-speed manual transmission has been added to the transmission, which was previously only available as a 7-speed automatic, and the suspension and brakes have also been refined.
The most distinctive feature of the 2027 model is that the NISSAN CI on the nose has been changed to the traditional round "Z".
[Model Explanation]
The prototype of the model car was designed by identifying the differences between the already released standard Fairlady Z model and the NISMO, and then overlaying the 3D data of the actual NISMO car, focusing on those areas. By making the basic frame the same as the prototype data of our other Fairlady Z models, we find significance in creating a sense of unity when the models are lined up and highlighting the differences.
The distinctive external features of the NISMO include the complex surface configuration of the aero parts attached to the front and rear bumpers and side sills, but we have finished the prototype to convey a sense of thinness and sharpness even in 1/43 scale.
There are almost no external changes between the 2027 model and the previous model, but the emblem on the nose has been changed from the old "NISSAN" CI to "Z". This difference has, of course, been reproduced in the model.
The wheels feature delicate detailing achieved by replacing the brass machined prototype with white metal cast parts. Also, while the brake caliper color on the actual car was changed from the previous red to a more noticeable bright red from the 2027 model year, this has been reproduced in the model.
Regarding the interior, the transmission is a reproduction of the 6MT specification added from the 2027 model year. The design and size have been accurately scaled down based on scan data of the actual car, and the interior, which exudes the atmosphere of the real car through paint and decals, is one of its highlights.
Some exterior color options have been changed in this minor change. Prism White Pearl has been changed to Brilliant White Pearl, and Carmine Red has been changed to Vibrant Red.
