■Product Description
●Commemorative painted aircraft with acrylic keychain included
This is a 1/144 scale plastic model assembly kit of the C-1 transport aircraft deployed and operated by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. This kit comes with a Phoenix mark acrylic keychain.
About the actual aircraft
The C-1 is a domestically produced medium transport aircraft of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, which began deployment in 1973. Developed by the Technical Research and Development Institute of the Defense Agency and Nihon Aircraft Manufacturing, it made its first flight in November 1970 and began operation in 1973. It is equipped with two Pratt & Whitney JT8D turbofan engines. By opening and closing the rear door under the tail, supplies and crew can be loaded into the aircraft. It can transport 45 fully equipped paratroopers, 60 regular personnel, and an additional 36 patients by attaching stretchers to metal rods on the cargo floor. Furthermore, it allowed for efficient loading of vehicles and artillery on pallets in a short time, and the rear door could be opened and closed even in flight, enabling air drops. It boasted a payload of 8 tons. In addition, the combination of leading-edge slats and four-stage gap Fowler flaps gave it high STOL (short take-off and landing) performance, requiring a runway distance of approximately 600m for take-off. It continued to play an active role in various missions within Japan.

About the model
The model is an assembly kit that reproduces the C-1 transport aircraft deployed and operated by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force in 1/144 scale. This kit models the prototype No. 2 C-1 transport aircraft that was retired in fiscal year 2024 and featured a commemorative paint scheme to mark its final run. In addition, an acrylic keychain with an arrangement of the phoenix mark is also included. The aircraft's special paint scheme, which is based on the phoenix (immortal bird) and embodies the wish to "keep flying forever," is faithfully reproduced with decals made by Cartograf. The shape with high wings and a T-tail is also realistically modeled, with a finished length of approximately 200mm. This is a multi-material kit featuring resin parts for the fuselage and wings, and metal and etched parts for details such as the landing gear. It's a model that fans won't want to miss, capturing a memorable appearance.
