This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the 6-wheel drive type of the French armored personnel carrier, the VAB.
About the actual vehicle
The VAB is a French wheeled armored personnel carrier that has been deployed and operated since 1976. There are four-wheel drive and six-wheel drive types in the lineup. The crew consists of one driver and one machine gunner, and the troop compartment can accommodate 10 fully armed infantrymen. Initially, it was equipped with a German MAN inline 6-cylinder diesel engine, and from 1983 onwards, it was equipped with a Renault inline 6-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine. In addition to land travel, it is also capable of floating on water and is equipped with two water jets at the rear. It is armed with one 12.7mm M2 heavy machine gun. It was adopted not only by the French Army but also by Morocco, Norway, and other countries. It was also used and played an active role by various militaries in the peacekeeping forces that operated in Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1996.
