The second-generation Subaru Impreza was born in 2000. The WRX STi, the strongest model set up for participation in the WRC (World Rally Championship), was continued from the first generation. In 2002, it underwent a minor change, with the exterior being significantly altered, evolving into the Applied C, commonly known as the "teardrop" design. In 2005, it underwent another minor change, reaching the Applied F, commonly known as the "hawk-eye" design, and was a long-running model that was sold until the full model change in 2007.
A new specification appears for the second-generation Impreza in the TLV-NEO series, which has been very well received. This model features the blue body that was added to the Spec C in the September 2003 minor change (Applied D), and is equipped with the forged 17-inch aluminum wheels that come standard on the WRX STi spec C, which was thoroughly lightweighted and had its reliability improved as a base specification for motorsport.
