About the FA-MAS F1 Type
The FA-MAS is a French-made bullpup assault rifle. Its name is an acronym meaning "Fusil d' Assaut de la Manufacture d' Armes de Saint-Étienne = Assault rifle made by the Saint-Étienne Arms Factory". Due to its unique shape, it is also called a clarion (signal trumpet).
The F1 type is the most standard model adopted by the entire French army. It has a cocking lever inside the large carrying handle which also serves as a sight, and is equipped with a folding bipod. The magazine can hold 25 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition equivalent to the M193.
