■Product Description
The F-15I Rahm (Hebrew = Thunder) is operated by the Israel Defense Forces/Air Force 69th Squadron as the successor to the F-4E Kurnas. The Israeli government felt a strong need for long-range bombers after Iraqi Scud missiles attacked Israel during the Gulf War (1991). The F-15E was redesigned to meet the requirements of the Israeli Air Force (IAF), and many of its avionics were replaced with Israeli-made systems, resulting in the F-15I. The Israeli government announced the procurement of 21 aircraft in January 1994. An additional order for 4 aircraft was placed the following year, and 25 aircraft were deployed between 1996 and 1999. The kit includes newly manufactured Israeli-spec vertical stabilizers, upper nose antenna, LANTIRN, and antenna dome behind the canopy.
