■ Description
The Navy's land-based reconnaissance aircraft, developed at the end of the war to run at high speeds into long-range enemy terrain and conduct high-altitude forcible reconnaissance, was a prototype sighting cloud. Two liquid-cooled engines were installed in parallel in the center of the hull to pursue high-speed performance, and a unique configuration was developed to propel the six wings of the aircraft's propellers on the longitudinal axis. The plan aimed at a speed of 740 km/h, but the development was difficult, and only a few test flights were conducted from May 20 to May.
We interviewed people at the time, and we reviewed and modeled the remaining material.
