■Product Description
The Suisei was a Japanese Navy carrier-based bomber developed with the aim of creating a bomber faster than a fighter. Equipped with the Atsuta engine, a domestically produced version of the Daimler-Benz DB601 engine, it pursued aerodynamic refinement to achieve high-speed performance that surpassed the Zero fighter. Deployed to units from 1943, it was plagued by problems due to its overly sophisticated engine, but its high performance allowed it to serve as the Navy's main carrier-based bomber until the end of the war.
