This is an easy-to-enjoy plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the Alfa Romeo Alfasud, a small car from Alfa Romeo that appeared in 1971, in 1/43 scale.
About the actual car
The Alfasud was a small car manufactured and sold by the prestigious Italian company Alfa Romeo from 1971 to 1989. The body design was by Giorgetto Giugiaro. It adopted a front-engine, front-wheel-drive (FF) system with a horizontally opposed 4-cylinder engine mounted in the front and driving the front wheels. The suspension used a MacPherson strut at the front and a beam axle with a Watts linkage mechanism at the rear. Initially, the engine was 1186cc and produced a maximum output of 63 horsepower. It achieved a top speed of 92 mph and was highly praised for its engine response and excellent handling due to the suspension, which was characteristic of Alfa Romeo.
