■Product Description
The M109 Self-Propelled Howitzer is a second-generation post-war self-propelled howitzer developed by the United States in parallel with the M108 Self-Propelled Howitzer. This vehicle was produced from 1962 as the successor to the M44 Self-Propelled Howitzer, and it is said that a total of approximately 10,000 units of the series were produced. The M109 Rochev is a version deployed by the Israel Defense Forces in the 1970s. The vehicles initially deployed were equipped with a short-barreled M126 155mm howitzer, but this was later changed to a longer-barreled version. In addition, luggage racks were added to the front of the turret and around the hull, increasing the amount of ammunition that could be carried. The M109 Doha is a vehicle that was deployed in the 1990s and featured unique improvements by the Israel Defense Forces, such as an updated commander's cupola, an inertial navigation system, and enhanced NBC defenses.
