■Product Description
The Williams FW07 that raced in the 1982 Long Beach GP was a machine from an era when Formula 1 was undergoing a major transformation. Since its introduction in 1979, the FW07 series has been an important model that built Williams' golden age, and Patrick Head's meticulous design and high level of perfection propelled Williams to the top team. The FW07C was a refined version of this machine that was used until the beginning of the 1982 season. Since movable side skirts for ground effect cars were banned from 1981, it became difficult to obtain a strong gripping effect on the road surface, but thanks to the optimization of the chassis design and aerodynamic balance, it was able to compete on equal footing with the turbo-engined cars despite being equipped with a naturally aspirated V8 engine. This model is the specification of the third race, the Long Beach GP, driven by Mario Andretti. The "Saudia" on the side pontoons is the national airline of Saudi Arabia.
