■Product Description
The Williams FW07C, which raced in the opening race of the 1982 season, is a representative machine of the ground effect era, having evolved from the FW07 that appeared in 1979. The FW07 series, designed by Patrick Head, achieved great success by obtaining powerful downforce by utilizing the venturi effect generated on the underside of the side pontoons. The FW07C was a highly refined version of that machine. Although the ground effect was limited by the ban on movable side skirts from 1981, it still maintained a high level of competitiveness by improving the aerodynamic balance and chassis performance. This model is the specification of the 1982 South African GP driven by Carlos Reutemann, which achieved a second-place podium finish in the final race.
