■Product Description
The Tyrrell 024, introduced in the 1996 season, is an F1 machine that symbolizes the last era in which the prestigious Tyrrell pursued its own unique technological philosophy. It was equipped with a Yamaha OX11A V10 engine on a chassis that was an evolution of the previous year's 023. Even with limited resources, original ideas were incorporated in terms of aerodynamics. Its most distinctive features are the Tyrrell traditional high nose and suspended front wing. It was first put into actual competition as an anhedral wing in the 019 in 1990, and subsequently evolved into a design that efficiently guided air to the underside of the car by utilizing the space under the nose. By positioning the front wing away from the nose, an attempt was made to create a freer airflow. This model reproduces the 1996 German GP specification driven by Mika Salo. Salo showed consistent driving throughout the season and demonstrated Tyrrell's presence even in tough competition.
