One of the deformed kits he designed for Monogram is the Screamin' Skid Shovel. Released by Monogram in 1972, it was a 1/32 scale model with a limited number of parts and a snap-fit assembly system that does not require glue for easy enjoyment. Tom Daniel deformed it based on the shovel loaders seen at road construction sites, arranging it into a slightly comical yet powerful hot rod image. It became very popular among fans.
