The Bel Air was one of the full-size cars released by General Motors, GM, of America under the Chevrolet brand. In 1950, Chevrolet developed an iconic model that greatly influenced the composition of its subsequent lineup. It initially started as part of the Deluxe Style line. Later, from 1953, it grew into a popular line under the name Bel Air. The Bel Air was popular for its design that was instantly recognizable by its flared rear fender lines and many chrome trims. In particular, 1955 was a memorable year in which Chevrolet carried out a major model change, completely changing its image and beginning to make cars that would be accepted by the younger generation. The Bel Air also added a V8 engine to its lineup, and the first-generation Bel Air models from 1955 to 1957 became extremely popular.
