About the actual car
American motorsports have its own unique genres that enjoy immense popularity. Drag racing, contested on a quarter-mile straight course, is one such example. Classes are meticulously defined based on performance, and within these classes, cars with dedicated chassis but bodies that retain the image of production cars are created and combined to form what are called Funny Cars. The driving of machines that resemble familiar production models attracts many fans. Rich Guasco's Pure Hell Funny Car, a popular driver with a body modeled after the 1972 Dodge Demon, was one of the cars that garnered popularity among fans.
About the model
This is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the Pure Hell Racing Funny Car, the Funny Car of Rich Guasco, a popular drag racer for Pure Hell Racing. The kit is a large 1/16 scale model that reproduces the engine, frame, and other details in full detail. This kit meticulously recreates the unique mechanics of a funny car. The main chassis frame is a tubular frame specifically designed for drag racers, and its shape is accurately modeled. The V8 engine at the front of the frame is also finely reproduced, including its auxiliary components and piping. Furthermore, the drivetrain and other mechanical parts are finished with a realistic look unique to the 1/16 big scale. The body is a funny car body modified from a 1972 Dodge Demon. Various markings, including Pure Hell, are included on a large decal sheet. This is a re-release of the Giant Revell series kit previously released by Revell, with the addition of Pure Hell markings.
