The Volkswagen Type 1 is a small, mass-produced car whose first model was produced in 1938, before World War II, and which continued to be manufactured for more than half a century without changing its basic structure or style.
With its simple mechanism, various customized and modified models were created in America, and it also played an active role in the motorsports scene. It appeared as a base vehicle in drag races, and many drag racers were seen with a Beetle body mounted on a race-specific chassis.
In the 1960s, a gasser-style vehicle with a raised front setting based on the 1940 and 1941 Willys also appeared as a Beetle base. Furthermore, street rods with customizations inspired by these also gained popularity, and custom Volkswagen Type 1 Beetles are still loved by many fans today.

The model is a 1/25 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the Beetle "Superbug Gasser," a vehicle customized based on the Volkswagen Type 1.
This kit is a fully detailed model with realistically reproduced engine, interior, and chassis.
The body is a custom body with the rear shortened, and its unique balance design is appealing. Both the front bonnet and rear engine hood are separate parts, so you can see the inside of the engine and other components even after completion.
