About the actual vehicle
The Carlo Armato L6/40 was a light tank developed and equipped by the Italian army during World War II. A prototype was completed in 1938, and it was officially adopted in 1940. It was equipped with a Fiat SPA 18D 4-stroke inline 4-cylinder liquid-cooled gasoline engine, achieving a top speed of 42 km/h. It was armed with a Breda 20mm autocannon and an 8mm Breda machine gun in the turret. When deployment began in 1941, it was used on various fronts including the North African front, the Eastern Front, the Balkan Peninsula, Italy, and Corsica, and played an active role in reconnaissance. It was produced until the end of 1942, and it is said that the number produced was just over 280.
