The Mirage III is a fighter aircraft developed by Dassault Aviation of France and put into service in 1961. The aircraft is characterized by its tailless delta-wing design. The first mass-produced model was the Mirage IIIC, which began deployment to units in 1961. It is equipped with one SNECMA Atar 09B turbojet engine, achieving a maximum speed of Mach 2.15. In addition to two fixed DEFA 552 30mm revolver cannons, it was also capable of using Matra R530 and R550 air-to-air missiles, Matra rocket pods, and SNEB rockets. Furthermore, it was equipped with a Cyrano I fire control radar in its avionics, and the aircraft was characterized by its commitment to French-made armament and equipment.
