●A challenging kit to build a large helicopter
This is a 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the HH-53C Jolly Green Giant, a large helicopter operated by the United States Air Force.
About the actual aircraft
During the Vietnam War, the United States Air Force operated the HH-3E, a large helicopter known as the Jolly Green Giant, for pilot rescue and search operations. Based on that experience, the HH-53 was developed as a successor helicopter. Focusing on the CH-53 Sea Stallion transport helicopter used by the United States Marine Corps, they developed an aircraft based on it with the same equipment as the HH-3E. It began operation in 1967. Furthermore, in 1968, the HH-53C, equipped with a more powerful engine, was introduced. In addition to playing an active role in combat search and rescue, further improvements and updates continued thereafter, and variations also appeared. It remained in operation until 2008.

This model is a 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the HH-53C search and rescue helicopter deployed and operated by the United States Air Force. The finished model has a total length of 284mm. The kit is attractive for its voluminous finish, equipped with six large rotor blades. The fuselage is split into left and right halves to accurately represent its shape. The refueling probe part equipped on the nose also adds an accent to the finished product. Furthermore, the interior of the fuselage is also modeled in detail, from the floor panels to the cockpit cockpit. In addition, the equipment unique to a search and rescue helicopter is also faithfully reproduced. Each rotor blade is a separate part, and the rotor base is also reproduced mechanically. This is a kit that is full of the charm of a large helicopter.
