This is a plastic model assembly kit that reproduces the AH-1W Super Cobra, an attack helicopter of the United States Marine Corps, in 1/72 scale.
About the actual aircraft
The AH-1 Cobra is an American attack helicopter that has been in operation since 1967. The AH-1W Super Cobra is an improved version of it. It is characterized by being equipped with two General Electric T700-GE-700 turboshaft engines and made its first flight in 1983. It was operated by the United States Marine Corps from 1986 to 2020. It was also called the Whiskey Cobra because of the "W" in its model name. It is equipped with one M197 20mm autocannon as fixed armament. Four hardpoints are set under the wings, and various missiles and rocket pods can be attached. It was first deployed in combat in the 1990 Gulf War and played an active role.
