The Scania R143M Streamline is one of the most successful models of the 3 Series introduced in 1987 by Scania AB, a Swedish company known as a manufacturer of heavy trucks and buses.Developed as a successor to the 2 Series, the 3 Series was further improved, with an enlarged driver's cab and improved aerodynamic performance of the cab through long-term wind tunnel testing.Fuel consumption was also greatly reduced.The engine is a 14-liter V8 that produces 500 horsepower.From the late 1980s to the mid-1990s, it was highly regarded and popular as a benchmark for truck models in Europe and around the world. In 1998, it was succeeded by the 4 Series and relinquished its position.
