About the actual aircraft
The Focke-Wulf Fw190 was a fighter aircraft deployed by the German military during World War II. It was an air-cooled engine fighter aircraft designed by Kurt Tank. Its first flight was in 1939. It entered service in 1941 and continued to fight valiantly until the end of the war. Improvements were made throughout the war, and due to its high versatility, various types were produced. Among them, the A-8 type was produced in February 1944, with 8,300 units manufactured. The armor was strengthened, and improvements were made to the armament, such as strengthening the wing-mounted machine guns to MK108 cannons. Furthermore, the F-8 type was a fighter-bomber version based on the A-8 type, and it played an active role in ground attack.
