About the actual aircraft
The Messerschmitt Bf-109, a German fighter aircraft whose production began in 1935, appeared in the Spanish Civil War and was active throughout World War II, from North Africa to the Eastern Front. It is characterized by its speed-oriented style with a slim airframe and thin, sharp wings. It participated in the Spanish Civil War, and improvements were made based on its combat experience, and various types were produced. By the end of the war, more than 30,000 aircraft of all types had been produced, and it played an active role as the main fighter aircraft of the German army throughout the war. The G type became the main type in the later stages of the war, and the first type was completed in 1941. In 1942, the G-2 type, equipped with the DB605A engine with increased output, appeared, and the G-6 type, which further strengthened the armament of the nose, appeared from 1943 and recorded the largest production number among the G types.
