The Ford F-Series is a series of pickup trucks that represent America. The first model appeared in 1948. Since then, production has continued with repeated model changes up to the present day, and it boasts high popularity, recording the world's highest annual sales. The 1972 model is the final model of the 5th generation, which appeared after a model change in 1967, and initially, there were three types in the lineup: Base, Custom, and Ranger. Available in rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions, it was used as the base for various work vehicles, including service car and tow truck versions, in addition to the standard pickup truck, and many variations were produced.
About the Model
This model is a plastic model assembly kit of the 1972 Ford F-350, reproduced with completely new molds by Moebius Models. It models the tow truck type in 1/25 scale, equipped with a crane and winch on the cargo bed. The crane arm and pulley mechanisms unique to the tow truck version on the cargo bed are one of the highlights of the model. The detailed reproduction makes it a joy to build. Furthermore, the kit is fully detailed, even reproducing the engine. An engine with reproduced auxiliary equipment is set inside the hood. It is also fun to try your hand at detailing the wiring and other details. The chassis is modeled in detail, including the suspension and drivetrain. It reproduces the four-wheel drive type, and the reproduction of the shafts that transmit power to the front and rear is not to be missed.
