■Product Description
The US Navy light cruiser USS Worcester was commissioned in 1948 as the lead ship of the Worcester-class light cruisers. After commissioning, she was assigned to the 10th Cruiser Squadron and participated in fleet exercises in the Mediterranean Sea and elsewhere. When the Korean War broke out in 1950, she was engaged in escorting aircraft carrier task forces and providing support fire for landing forces. Worcester was awarded two battle stars for her service in the Korean War.
The kit consists of an injection-molded plastic body, with the "Standard Edition" including decals, and the "Deluxe Edition" including photo-etched parts, metal gun barrels, deck mask stickers, etc. in addition to the contents of the "Standard Edition". This is a wonderful kit that reproduces Worcester as a waterline model with delicate detail.
