* About Metal Slug: A side-scrolling action shooting game series released by SNK in 1996. Players control a special operations operative who infiltrates rebel and terrorist military bases, freeing allied prisoners, eliminating enemy forces, and destroying secret weapons (bosses). It was released on SNK's home consoles, "Neo Geo" and "Neo Geo CD," and the arcade Neo Geo "MVS" (Multi Video System), and later ported to other home consoles. The title "Metal Slug" comes from a high-performance, single-seater mini-tank that appears in the game. Its appeal lies in its beautifully crafted 2D pixel art, well-developed presentation, high-quality music, and excellent gameplay. It remains a popular series with many fans, and new installments continue to be released in recent years.

* **Metal Slug 3:** Released in 2000 for arcades and Neo Geo, this is the fourth installment in the series. It was the first game to feature a branching route system, a departure from the linear stage structures of previous titles. The addition of new weapons like the new Slug, unique enemies, and the new "zombie" mechanic made the game incredibly rich in content, truly living up to its tagline of "the greatest battle in history." The meticulous pixel graphics and excellent action remain intact, and many consider this to be the best game in the series.

* **Metal Slug 3 Story:** The rebellion led by General Morden was a thing of the past, and order and peace were finally beginning to return to the world. However, General Morden's fate remained unknown, and remnants of his army were still hiding in various parts of the world. Therefore, Marco and Tarma of the Falcons Squad continued their mission. Simultaneously, the Sparrows, a special operations unit belonging to the regular army's intelligence department, was investigating mysterious incidents such as livestock abductions, disappearances of important figures, and the abnormal growth of creatures. The intelligence department concluded that there was some connection between the remnants of the Morden army and these mysterious incidents, and thus, a joint operation between the Sparrows and the Falcons was once again realized.
