From the beginning, it was designed with innovative technology, but it is said that 95% of the aircraft's design drawings have been changed through repeated improvements to various parts. Even in the 2020s, it is considered the best-selling American jet fighter, with over 4,000 units still in use, including overseas.
The F-16CM BLOCK50 is an aircraft whose outfitting has been standardized to simplify personnel training and maintenance, which is the objective of the Common Specifications Implementation Plan. The night operation mission (CG and DG) and enemy air defense suppression (CJ and DJ) types have been modified to eliminate the distinction between missions.
