The "Toyota Century Open Car" that appeared in the parade in November 2019 to celebrate the enthronement of His Majesty the Emperor is a special car of which only one was made by cutting the roof off the new Century, the highest-grade sedan in Japan that serves as the base. After the parade, it was put on public display at the State Guest House and other locations, and is expected to be put to good use at government-sponsored events. AutoArt has created a fully opening model with a dignified size of over 290 mm in length, faithfully recreating the details of the actual car as much as possible, including the glossy paint of the deep black body, the shine of the chrome plated parts, the genuine leather seats, the absence of the car name emblem, and the Shinagawa license plate that is normally attached.
▼"AutoArt Composite Diecast Models" use a uniquely formulated "ABS" for the body and "diecast" for the inner body. This is a completely new and innovative model car that maximizes the advantages of each material, achieving high rigidity and weight comparable to die-cast models, while reproducing stunningly realistic and sharp body lines and enabling more precise panel gaps and opening/closing of parts than die-cast bodies.
