About the actual car
The IndyCar Series is a representative series of open-wheel racing in America. Nearly 20 races are held annually on circuits and street courses all over the United States, from oval courses to road courses, to compete for the series championship. At the pinnacle of the series is the Indy 500, which has a history of more than 100 years and is one of the world's three major car races, alongside the F1 Monaco Grand Prix and the 24 Hours of Le Mans for sports cars. In 2017, Takuma Sato became the first Japanese driver to win this race. And in 2020, Takuma Sato won the Indy 500 again, securing his second victory. IndyCar machines use a one-make chassis, and the engines are supplied by Chevrolet and Honda. It is a V6 twin-turbo with a displacement of 2.2 liters. The fuel used is a blend of bioethanol and gasoline.
