■Product Description
The Ry?h? was converted from the submarine tender Taigei, which was completed in 1934, into an aircraft carrier in 1942. After sustaining minor damage in the Battle of the Philippine Sea in June 1944, the ship underwent repairs at the Kure Naval Arsenal, along with strengthening its anti-aircraft armament by adding rocket launchers and equipping it with radar. Furthermore, the forward section of the flight deck was extended by 15 meters, and cutouts were made near the anti-aircraft guns to increase their firing range.
